BOL-3261 from Cristina Marrone’s Bologna collection is a substantial flat weave with a softly irregular checked pattern. Muted rust and brick-red bands sit against charcoal, slate grey and pale flecks, giving the colourway a layered, tactile depth.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide fabric has a compact, textured surface with diagonal yarn definition visible across the checks. Its palette combines warm rust and brick tones with cool charcoal, grey and occasional light threads, creating a balanced pattern rather than a bright or highly saturated effect. Bologna BOL-3261 is suitable for contract and domestic upholstery, making it appropriate for hard-working seating and occasional furniture. It is machine washable and has Domestic Cig & Match GreenFR®, with treatment available to achieve contract grade.

How to use it

Pair the rust and charcoal check with deep grey upholstery piping, aged wood and warm neutrals to emphasise its tailored, autumnal character. The pale woven flecks also give it enough lift for an armchair or sofa in a darker room.
