Bergamo presents a softly mottled chenille in warm stone taupe, threaded with broken olive-green flecks and muted red marks. Its close, tactile weave gives the colourway a gently weathered, textile-rich appearance.

About this fabric

The surface is a dense chenille with a nubby, grainy texture that catches the light across irregular abstract patches. Warm taupe and beige form the ground, while olive, sage and subdued red accents appear as broken vertical and horizontal traces rather than a sharply defined motif. This 100% polyester fabric is 138cm wide and graded for domestic upholstery. It is machine washable and has domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy.

How to use it

The softened taupe base works well on sofas, dining chairs or footstools in relaxed rooms, especially alongside natural wood, aged leather and muted olive or rust accessories. The irregular red and green marks add depth without making the upholstery feel brightly patterned.

Use this warm, weathered taupe chenille on domestic seating where its olive and muted red flecks can complement timber, leather and earthy neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
