About this fabric

Made from 91% polyester and 9% viscose, this 138cm-wide chenille has a dense, tactile surface suited to contract upholstery. The woven texture reads predominantly grey, while warmer taupe threads prevent it from appearing flat or cold. Narrow vertical striations and small broken flecks catch the light across the swatch rather than forming a defined printed motif. It is rated Contract grade, with Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade; professional aftercare is specified.

How to use it

Use this grey-taupe colourway on a tailored sofa, banquette or occasional chair where its softly mixed tone can sit comfortably with charcoal, stone and warm timber. Its restrained vertical texture also adds depth to a neutral scheme without introducing a strong pattern.

A contract-grade chenille in a quietly variegated grey-taupe weave, well suited to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
