About this colour

This shade has a warm, muted character, with the brown in it keeping the red low and settled rather than fiery. On a wall, #967858 can feel earthy and enveloping, taking the edge off strong daylight and giving back a calm, steady colour. In a north-facing room it will read deeper and more brown, with the red softened into something restrained. In south-facing light it brings out a warmer terracotta note and looks more open, though it still holds its depth.
