House Points
Reds and Yellows Paint
House Points is a grounded ochre with a clear yellow warmth and a gentle red undertone, giving it the look of sunlit clay. It sits comfortably in Coat Paints’ Reds and Yellows family without feeling brash.

About this colour
This shade reads as a warm, muted gold-brown on a wall, with enough yellow in it to lift the room but enough red to keep it settled. In north-facing light it can turn slightly deeper and earthier, bringing out its brown note and making it feel more restrained. In south-facing light the yellow comes forward, so it looks brighter, warmer and more open without losing its depth. It sits well beside oak, walnut and painted woodwork in cream, putty or deep brown, and it gives a good backdrop to curtains and upholstery in rust, terracotta, moss green or indigo.
How to use it
Use House Points in a sitting room, study or dining room where you want warmth without glare. It works particularly well with timber joinery, linen curtains and upholstered pieces in natural woven tones or dark, grounded colours.
A warm ochre like this brings depth and sunlight to a wall without feeling sharp.
