Lady Lore

This shade reads as a muted, earthy mid-tone with brown running through the yellow and red base, so it lands warm rather than sharp. In north-facing light it can look more cocoa-tinged and restrained, taking on a slightly cooler cast without losing its warmth. In south-facing rooms it opens out into a richer ochre, with the sun bringing forward its golden side and softening the brown. It sits well beside deep greens, tobacco leathers, natural linens and dark timber, and it gives painted joinery a calm, tailored presence in finishes such as Flat Matt, Eggshell or Soft Sheen.

Use Lady Lore in a sitting room, study or hallway where you want warmth without brightness. It works especially well with walnut, oak and mahogany woodwork, and with upholstery in moss, rust, cream or saddle tones.
