Nouvelles Vagues Lapislazzuli is a deep, cool teal velvet animated by rows of pale aqua wave-like lines. Its dark blue-green ground gives the swatch considerable depth, while the raised-looking pattern catches the light.

About this fabric

The dense velvet surface appears almost blue-black in its darker areas, resolving into a rich lapis teal across the face of the swatch. Irregular horizontal wave motifs repeat in small, widely spaced rows, with brighter aqua threads tracing their edges. The short, directional pile creates subtle shifts in tone as the light moves across the cloth. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied for this listing.

How to use it

Pair this cool lapis teal with chalky whites, smoked timber and brushed metal, or use it as a concentrated colour accent on a reading chair, upholstered bench or scatter cushion.

Use this deep teal velvet to bring cool colour and tactile pattern to occasional chairs, headboards or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
