Tigris Velvet Flame

Animalia Fabrics VelvetCCF0313-01

Tigris Velvet Flame places vivid orange and rust-striped tigers against a deep charcoal ground, overlaid with a shadowy, irregular animal-skin texture. The velvet surface gives the dark background a subtle directional depth while the illustrated animals remain richly defined.

About this fabric

This 340 gsm velvet combines a deep charcoal background with saturated flame-orange tigers, black striping and warmer rust shading across their bodies and curling tails. Small circular silver-grey details punctuate the design between the large animal motifs, adding a cool glint to the otherwise warm orange palette. The pattern has a 55.5 cm vertical repeat and a 46.5 cm horizontal repeat, making the placement of the full figures important when cutting upholstery. It is supplied at a 138 cm usable width, with a standard length of 40 m.

How to use it

Use Tigris Velvet Flame on a statement armchair, footstool or headboard where the charcoal ground can sit alongside blackened wood, smoked metal and warm amber accents. Keep surrounding upholstery calmer so the flame-orange tigers provide the room’s focal colour.

Use the charcoal ground to anchor the vivid flame-orange tigers on statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
