About this fabric

This colourway reads as a muted linen cream with beige undertones, lifted by a subtle lustre that gives the fabric a softly polished look. The visible surface has a fine woven texture rather than a flat finish, and the light moves across it in smooth, undulating bands. Composed of 56% cotton and 44% polyester, it balances a natural handle with the practicality of blended fibres. With a width of 140cm and no pattern repeat, it is straightforward to plan for tailored upholstery or elegant curtains. The overall effect is understated and smart, with enough shimmer to brighten a room without becoming glossy.

How to use it

Use Alchemy Linen where you want a pale neutral that still feels dressed, such as a tailored armchair, scheme-led cushions, or full-length curtains. Its warm cream tone works especially well with oak, chalky paint colours, and soft metallic accents.

A softly lustrous cream that brings a refined, light-filled finish to both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
