About this fabric
Woven in 30% polyester and 70% BCI cotton, this 140cm-wide fabric has the feel of a practical printed textile with a clear, dry surface rather than a plush pile. The pattern repeat of 85.2cm vertical by 45.6cm horizontal supports the oversized patchwork motif seen here, where stepped diamonds, stripes and angular blocks build a strong graphic rhythm. In this colourway, the charcoal tones sit cool and grounded against warm stone and beige areas, giving the design more depth than a simple monochrome print. The overall effect is smart and contemporary, with enough contrast to stand out while still staying restrained and usable in a room scheme.
How to use it
Use Carmen Charcoal on a statement chair, blind or upholstered bench where the large geometric repeat can be shown off. It works especially well with pale plaster, oak and black accents, letting the charcoal and stone palette feel tailored rather than heavy.
