Misc Fabric

Atlas Orchid is a softly mottled orchid-mauve fabric with a calm, even surface and a fine woven texture. The colour reads as a muted dusty lilac rather than a bright floral purple.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is made from 100% polyester and has a 145cm width, with no pattern repeat, making it straightforward to plan and cut. In this colourway, the weave shows a gentle linen-like grain that softens the orchid tone and gives the surface a dry, understated finish. The overall effect is a cool, muted mauve with a faint grey cast, so it feels quieter and more versatile than a saturated purple. With no performance features noted, it works well where a refined decorative fabric is wanted without a glossy or overtly formal look.

How to use it

Use Atlas Orchid on a tailored chair, blind or cushion to introduce a restrained wash of colour into neutral interiors. Its dusty mauve shade sits neatly with pale stone, soft greys and warm timber.

A soft mauve tone that adds quiet colour without overwhelming a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
