Livorno Chintz

Misc Fabric

Livorno Chintz shows a small, rhythmic lattice of soft scrolling outlines dotted with tiny leaf-like motifs. In this colourway, the warm cream ground keeps the design light while the red, ochre and gold accents add a lively stitched-in contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in 73% BCI cotton and 27% viscose, Livorno Chintz has a smooth, decorative finish that feels crisp rather than heavy. The 140cm width and 18.5cm vertical by 4.5cm horizontal repeat make it a practical choice for patterned schemes where a neat, regular drop matters. This colourway pairs a warm cream background with muted red, mustard and amber notes, giving the motif a gently sunlit feel. The fine linework of the repeating oval forms reads clearly without feeling bold, so the fabric feels ordered, tailored and easy to live with.

How to use it

Use this cream-based version on a compact chair, window seat or lined curtain where the small repeat can be appreciated up close. It works especially well with pale oak, aged brass and soft terracotta accents.

Use it for tailored upholstery or light curtains where the small-scale repeat can add interest without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
