Porter & Stone

Sherborne Raisin

Misc Fabric

Sherborne Raisin is a deep burgundy plain with a softly textured face and a quietly slubbed linen look. The colour reads as dark raisin wine, with warm brown undertones that soften the richness.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is composed of 70% viscose and 30% linen, giving the surface a smooth, slightly lustrous handle with visible natural fibre texture. At 140cm wide with no pattern repeat, it is an uncomplicated plain that lets the colour and weave do the work. In this colourway, the raisin tone sits between plum and claret, appearing warm, muted and depthy rather than bright or cherry-red. The fine vertical slubbing and cross-grain texture catch the light subtly, adding movement to an otherwise calm surface.

How to use it

Use Sherborne Raisin to bring warmth to neutral interiors, especially with taupe, stone or dark wood finishes. Its wine-brown depth suits upholstered pieces, relaxed drapes or simple cushions where the textured plain can read close and tactile.

A rich wine tone with enough drape for curtains and enough body for relaxed upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
