Porter & Stone

Sherborne Mahogany

Misc Fabric

Sherborne Mahogany is a rich, warm red with a low-key woven finish that reads dark and refined rather than bright or glossy. The close vertical slub in the cloth gives the surface subtle movement without introducing a pattern repeat.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is woven in a 70% viscose and 30% linen blend, with a 140cm width and no pattern repeat, making the texture and colour the focus of the design. In this colourway, the mahogany tone sits between deep red and brown, with a muted warmth that softens the look and adds depth in changing light. The fine weave and gentle linen character keep it visually understated, while the viscose lends a smoother, slightly lustrous handle. With no performance features noted and care coded NQT1<, it is best considered for projects where appearance and tactile quality are the priority.

How to use it

Use Sherborne Mahogany to bring a grounded, heritage feel to upholstered dining chairs, accent cushions or a simple headboard. It pairs especially well with oak, aged brass and warm neutrals, where the colour reads as deep and composed rather than overly bold.

A warm, tailored shade that works well on clean-lined upholstery or understated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
