Mystique Duck-Egg

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Mystique Duck-Egg shows a geometric, weathered abstraction in cool duck-egg teal and muted stone tones. The metallic fleck in the weave gives the surface a soft, broken shimmer rather than a hard shine.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is 140cm wide and woven in 93% polyester and 7% lurex, with a 35.5cm vertical repeat and 12cm horizontal repeat. The design reads as layered angular shapes, with duck-egg teal panels sitting against a mineral, taupe-grey ground. Fine speckling and the lurex content catch the light across the surface, adding a subdued glint that suits the pattern’s distressed look. The colourway feels cool and airy rather than dark or saturated, making the geometry feel fresh and contemporary.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without heaviness: it works well on an occasional chair, cushions or relaxed curtains in a light-filled room. The duck-egg teal is especially effective with pale timber, ivory and brushed nickel.

Pair with soft oak, chalky neutrals and brushed metals for a calm but polished finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
