About this fabric

This Fabric from Fryett's Fabrics is woven in 75% polyester and 25% cotton, with a 140cm width and a 30cm pattern repeat. The swatch reads as a stepped, horizontal stripe construction, with chalky pale bands broken by deeper blue-grey flecks and darker navy threads. Its surface has a dry, textural look rather than a smooth finish, which gives the indigo colourway a lived-in, slightly architectural feel. The overall effect is cool and restrained, with enough contrast to keep the pattern visible without becoming harsh.

How to use it

Use this muted indigo weave on smart sofas, armchairs or ottomans where the textured stripe can add structure without overwhelming a room. It also works well with off-white walls, smoked oak and brushed metal accents.

Pair with pale wood and crisp linen to keep the cool indigo texture feeling fresh.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Stavanger Indigo without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
