Essential Colour III - Neutral FabricBF11183.230

Drayton Oatmeal is a quiet, warm neutral with a softly woven surface. In the swatch, its natural beige tone is gently varied by fine vertical and horizontal fibres rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

This plain woven fabric combines 34% viscose, 32% cotton, 17% linen and 17% polyester, with a 137 cm width. The oatmeal colour sits on the warm side of beige, with a muted, lightly toasted depth that changes subtly as the weave catches the light. Its fine, understated texture gives the surface more character than a flat solid while remaining visually calm. With a 40,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery and bedspreads; care requires professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this warm oatmeal colourway to soften an upholstered chair, loose cover or bedspread, especially alongside cream, mushroom, pale timber and other sun-warmed neutrals. As curtains, its restrained woven texture adds quiet depth without introducing a competing pattern.

A softly textured oatmeal neutral with enough durability for loose upholstery and enough drape for curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
