Essential Colour III - Neutral FabricBF11185.110
Clarence Linen appears as a softly warm beige swatch with a very fine, closely woven surface. Its subtle diagonal micro-texture gives the plain colour gentle depth without introducing a visible printed motif.

About this fabric
The colour has a natural linen-beige character, reading warm and quietly light across the tightly woven surface. A small-scale diagonal rhythm is visible in the weave, creating restrained texture as the fabric catches the light. The composition is 8% Polyester, 44% Cotton, 38% Viscose and 10% Linen, with a width of 140 cm (55"). Clarence Linen is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, and has a 27,000 Martindale rub test. Care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use this warm beige colourway to bring a softly tailored, natural note to upholstered seating, relaxed curtains or a layered bedspread. Pair its fine woven texture with deeper brown, cream or muted olive accents for gentle contrast.

Pairs well with
Clarence Linen is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
