About this fabric

The dense leaf arrangement combines glowing amber and ochre, deep rosewood, vivid pomegranate red, creamy ivory and touches of olive green. The warm red ground showing between the leaves gives this colourway particular depth, while the lighter cream shapes keep the pattern crisp and lively. At 416 gsm and 57.7 threads per cm, the velvet has a substantial specification suited to upholstery. Its 64.2 cm vertical repeat and 34.5 cm horizontal repeat should be considered when positioning the foliage across a larger upholstered piece. The 137.1 cm usable width provides generous coverage for furniture applications.

How to use it

Use this warm, high-impact colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its pomegranate and rosewood depth can lead the scheme. Balance the busy botanical surface with plain upholstery or painted timber in warm cream, olive or deep brown.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Calathea Velvet Amber/Rosewood/Pomegranate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
