Jewel Beetles Lapis

Harlequin X Sophie Robinson Fabrics FabricHAF0520-01

Jewel Beetles Lapis places tiny illustrated beetles across a rich, cool lapis-blue ground. Pink, ivory, gold and pale blue insects are picked out by fine, winding red lines, giving the surface a vivid, graphic rhythm.

About this fabric

This 400gsm fabric has a substantial handle suited to upholstery, with 41 threads per centimetre adding visual density to the printed design. The beetles alternate between pink, cream, gold and pale blue, while the red contour lines bring a warm spark against the saturated blue background. Its pattern repeats over 39cm vertically and 42cm horizontally, creating an energetic but clearly ordered layout on upholstered furniture. The usable width is 134.5cm, supplied in a standard 35m length.

How to use it

Pair the cool depth of the lapis ground with warm timber, coral or russet accents to echo the red linework, or use it on a single chair against plain blue and cream upholstery. Its medium-scale beetles work especially well where the full repeat can be appreciated.

Use this substantial 400gsm cloth on occasional chairs, dining seats or a statement footstool where its lively beetle pattern can stand out against quieter furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
