Moji Nordic/Chalk

Kasuri Fabrics FabricHAF0621-02

Moji Nordic/Chalk pairs a softly chalked cream ground with scattered, slender blue-grey strokes that curve and taper across the surface. The cool, washed palette gives the design a light, understated presence.

About this fabric

The fabric is visibly textured, with a fine woven ground beneath an informal arrangement of elongated, leaf-like marks in muted blue-grey and pale sage tones. Its 288gsm weight and 312cm usable width make it a practical mid-weight choice for both upholstery and drapery. The design has a 149.9cm vertical repeat and a 79.6cm horizontal repeat, allowing the loose marks to flow across a wide expanse rather than reading as a tightly ordered motif. With 29 threads per centimetre, the cloth has a substantial yet still light-reflecting appearance.

How to use it

Use the cool chalk base to soften blue-grey upholstery, pale oak and brushed metal, or make generous curtains where the scattered marks can remain airy and relaxed. It also works well as a calm counterpoint to deeper slate, ink or muted sage accents.

A cool chalk ground and loose blue-grey marks bring an airy, quietly artistic character to upholstery and full-length drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Moji Nordic/Chalk without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
