About this fabric

This Harlequin velvet is 140 cm wide and weighs 550 gsm, giving the cloth a substantial presence suited to upholstery. The Sepia colourway sits between warm taupe and softened brown, with a restrained tonal contrast rather than a saturated brown finish. Fine vertical texturing runs across the surface, creating a lightly broken, tactile appearance while allowing the overall shade to remain calm and even. The design has a 28.5 cm vertical repeat and a 17.5 cm horizontal repeat, with 65.5 threads per cm contributing to its closely detailed surface.

How to use it

Pair this warm sepia-taupe velvet with dark stained timber, aged brass or creamy neutral upholstery for a quietly layered scheme. Its subtle flecked texture is especially effective on a tailored armchair, banquette or headboard where the light can pick out the surface depth.

Use this warm sepia-taupe velvet to bring quiet depth to upholstered seating, headboards or occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
