Montpellier Oyster is a pale oyster-beige plain weave with a fine, softly rippled surface visible across the swatch. Its gentle tonal variation keeps the neutral from appearing completely flat.

About this fabric

The close weave reads as a warm, creamy beige rather than a cool grey or stark white, with tiny surface undulations catching the light across the cloth. At 330gsm and 142cm wide, it has the substance of a versatile mid-weight textile for upholstery and drapery. The design has no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, making it straightforward to cut and position across larger areas. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so its intended application should be considered alongside the specific demands of the project.

How to use it

Use Montpellier Oyster to soften a compact sofa, headboard or full-length curtain in rooms built around warm white walls, pale oak and woven natural textures. Its lightly textured oyster tone also works as a quiet backdrop for deeper taupe, olive or charcoal accents.

Use this softly textured oyster beige as a calm upholstery or drapery neutral alongside warm whites, timber and natural fibres.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
