Harlequin

Performance Velvets Positano

Performance Velvets Positano is shown here in a softly warm blush pink, with a smooth plain velvet surface that shifts gently as the pile catches the light. Its nude-rose tone feels intimate and quietly luxurious rather than bright or sugary.

About this fabric

This is a plain velvet with a dense, softly brushed pile and a warm blush-pink tone that deepens subtly across the folded swatch. At 540 gsm, it has the substantial visual weight expected of an upholstery velvet, while the 141 cm usable width offers practical coverage for furniture projects. There is no pattern repeat vertically or horizontally, so the surface remains uninterrupted and easy to position. Light skimming across the pile creates delicate tonal variation, giving the otherwise solid colour a softly dimensional finish.

How to use it

Use the warm nude-blush shade on a statement armchair, ottoman or upholstered headboard, pairing it with cream, mushroom, aged brass or deeper terracotta accents. Its restrained plain surface lets the colour and velvet sheen provide the room’s decorative focus.

Use this warm nude-blush velvet to bring softly polished depth to upholstered seating and headboards.

Pairs well with

Performance Velvets Positano is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
