About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, Portland Rose 1 has a usable width of 137cm and a bold 35cm horizontal repeat, making its stripe rhythm easy to read across larger pieces. The fabric is graded Heavy Domestic with a Martindale of 30,000, so it has the substance for upholstery as well as drapery and accessories. Visually, the colourway is a delicate rose-tinted neutral: warmer than ivory, but still muted enough to sit comfortably beside stone, linen and pale timber. The stripe combines soft blush panels with narrow dotted divider lines and brushed vertical texture, giving the surface a subtle handcrafted look. It is treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, which broadens its use in more formal schemes.

How to use it

Use Portland Rose 1 on a chaise, skirted occasional chair or Roman blind where the pale pink stripe can soften harder architectural lines. It works especially well in light, understated interiors with cream walls, aged brass and natural wood.
