Tayside Dolphin

Tayside Wool Linen Fabric

Tayside Dolphin has a cool mid-grey ground with a closely worked, irregular weave that gives the surface quiet depth. Its softly mixed yarns create a tactile, woolly-looking texture rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The fabric is woven with fine tonal variation, combining charcoal, slate and lighter grey threads in a compact, nubby surface. Small irregular intersections catch the light unevenly, giving this colourway a subtly mottled appearance without a visible motif or repeat. The overall effect is calm and cool, with enough depth to prevent the grey from feeling stark. The supplied record lists no performance features, so its character here is defined by the visible texture and tonal weave.

How to use it

Use Tayside Dolphin on a relaxed armchair, sofa or footstool where its cool grey tone can sit alongside chalky whites, pale timber and blue-grey accents. The flecked surface also works well with darker charcoal details for a quietly layered scheme.

A cool, softly flecked grey with a substantial woven texture for relaxed upholstery schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
