Tayside Cashew is a warm, natural beige textile with a visibly chunky, irregular weave. Its softly varied surface gives the colour gentle depth rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric

The dense weave brings together cashew, oat and pale taupe tones, creating a warm beige that feels softly sunlit rather than cool or grey. Irregular slubbed threads run through the cloth in subtly uneven vertical lines, giving the surface a tactile, handmade character. The close-set construction reads as a substantial upholstery textile, while the low-contrast colour keeps the overall effect relaxed and understated. Small shifts between lighter and darker threads add depth when viewed across the swatch.

How to use it

Use this warm cashew colour on a relaxed sofa, armchair or dining seat, pairing it with honeyed timber, cream linen and muted olive accents. Its softly variegated weave also works well in rooms that need texture without a strong pattern.

A warm, tactile neutral for relaxed upholstery, especially alongside timber, linen and softly aged finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
