Tayside Nutmeg

Tayside Wool Linen Fabric

Tayside Nutmeg has a warm, earthy brown ground with the softly varied appearance of a chunky, tightly woven textile. Fine charcoal, cream and mid-brown flecks move through the surface, giving the colourway natural depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The close, substantial weave is visibly textured, with small loops and irregular threads creating a tactile, nubby surface. Its nutmeg tone sits between warm brown and muted taupe, while darker flecks add definition and pale threads catch the light across the swatch. Catalogued as a Fabric, this colourway has no performance features noted in the supplied specification. The visual weight and compact weave make it particularly well suited to upholstery where a relaxed, organic surface is wanted.

How to use it

Use Tayside Nutmeg on a reading chair, footstool or relaxed sofa to introduce warm brown depth without making the room feel dark. Pair it with oat, parchment and natural timber, or bring out its charcoal flecks with softened black accents.

A substantial, softly flecked weave that brings warm nutmeg depth to upholstered seating and occasional furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
