Hackney Fabric

Hackney Meteor is a subdued taupe-grey textile with a finely worked surface. Its close, low-contrast weave gives the colour a softly variegated depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The swatch combines warm brown-grey and cooler charcoal threads in a tight, even weave. A delicate crosshatch effect is visible across the surface, creating fine tonal movement without a distinct printed motif. The darker taupe base gives this colourway a grounded, quietly sophisticated character, while the restrained texture keeps it versatile across larger upholstered forms or flowing fabric applications.

How to use it

Use Hackney Meteor to temper pale timber, stone and chalky neutrals, or pair its deep taupe-grey tone with blackened metal and warm leather for a more defined scheme. Its subtle woven variation also works well when upholstery and window treatments need to sit together without looking overly matched.

A deep, adaptable taupe-grey weave that brings quiet texture to upholstery and softly tailored window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
