Flicker Thunder

Volume Fabric

Flicker Thunder is a deep, cool blue-grey teal woven fabric with softly broken horizontal movement across its surface. Fine lighter threads flicker through the dark ground, giving the colourway depth without a defined repeat.

About this fabric

The close, dense weave combines charcoal-blue depth with muted teal and silvery grey threads that catch the light in uneven horizontal passages. Its abstract striation is subtle rather than geometric, with lightly blurred bands and flecks creating a tactile, lived-in surface. The dark tone gives upholstered furniture a grounded, tailored presence, while the cooler teal cast prevents it from reading as flat charcoal. No composition, width, rub test or performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Flicker Thunder on a compact sofa, armchair or dining seat where its cool blue-grey teal depth can anchor pale timber, chalky neutrals and brushed metal. Keep surrounding fabrics quiet so the irregular woven movement remains the main textural detail.

A dense, softly irregular woven texture that brings cool depth and understated movement to upholstered pieces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Flicker Thunder without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
