English Garden Fabric

Albertine Charcoal sets dense bouquets of roses and trailing botanical stems against a deep charcoal ground. Coral, blush, cream, muted green and blue-grey petals create a richly layered colourway with a cool, collected character.

About this fabric

The large-scale floral repeat combines full coral and pink roses with pale clustered blossoms, blue-grey leaves and curling sage-green stems. Against the charcoal background, the warmer flowers appear vivid while the cooler foliage settles the overall palette into a sophisticated, slightly dusky scheme. Woven in 100% linen at approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery and is graded for Contract and General Domestic use. Allow 3% shrinkage; care is by Delicate Wash at 30°C or Dry Clean, and it must not be tumble dried.

How to use it

Use Albertine Charcoal on a statement armchair, sofa or full-length curtains where its cool dark ground can anchor warm timber, aged brass and softly coloured plain linens. Repeat the coral and blush flowers in small cushions while keeping surrounding upholstery simple.

The cool charcoal ground gives the bright coral, blush, blue-grey and muted green flowers a composed, tailored feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
