Faroe Slate is a deep, cool grey textile with a closely spaced herringbone weave. Its small broken chevron pattern creates subtle movement across the charcoal-slate ground without becoming visually busy.

About this fabric

The finely woven surface combines dark slate and softer grey threads, giving the cloth a gently textured, low-key appearance with visible tonal variation at close range. Faroe is woven from 16% linen, 18% viscose, 20% cotton, 40% wool and 6% polyester. At approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades. After-care is dry clean only.

How to use it

Use Faroe Slate on a tailored sofa, dining chair or upholstered headboard where its cool charcoal tone can anchor pale stone, chalk and soft timber finishes. It also works as a restrained curtain fabric when a fine woven pattern is preferred over a plain grey.

The cool, dark slate tone and fine herringbone texture bring tailored depth to upholstery, curtains and layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
