Faroe Azure

Faroe FabricLF2042

Faroe Azure has a cool, softly muted blue ground with a fine herringbone pattern that gives the surface a gently flecked, tailored appearance. The close-scale weave shifts subtly between blue, grey and lilac as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

This 137cm-wide Faroe fabric combines 16% linen, 18% viscose, 20% cotton, 40% wool and 6% polyester in a compact woven construction. Its small herringbone repeats are clearly visible across the swatch, creating restrained movement rather than a bold pattern. The azure tone reads calm and cool, with a slightly softened grey cast that keeps the colour versatile while retaining blue depth. Rated for Contract and General Domestic use, it is suitable for curtains and fixed upholstery and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use Faroe Azure on an upholstered armchair, headboard or tailored sofa where its cool blue-grey tone can bring quiet colour without overwhelming the room. It also makes understated curtains, particularly alongside chalky whites, pale timber and brushed metal.

A cool, finely textured blue herringbone with the versatility for curtains and fixed upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
