Hermia Brook

Titania Fabric008

Hermia Brook reads as a fresh, spring-like stripe with a softly woven apple-green ground and crisp blue-and-white detailing. The vertical rhythm feels lively but still restrained, with a tactile linen-cotton look that keeps the pattern light.

About this fabric

Woven in 63% linen and 37% cotton, Hermia Brook has the relaxed handle and natural surface of a decorative upholstery-weight fabric. The design shows alternating narrow wavy green stripes, blue dotted borders and slim blue-and-white ladder bands, all set against a pale green ground that feels cool, bright and slightly grassy. Its 10,000 Martindale rub test and 128cm width make it well suited to curtains and cushions, while the 4cm approximate vertical repeat creates a neat, regular stripe effect. Dry clean care keeps the finish looking fresh, and the L Exempt non-FR construction should be used with a schedule 3 interliner if required.

How to use it

Use this colourway to bring a clean, optimistic note to a sunroom, kitchen blind or country-inspired sitting room. It works especially well with painted timber, chalky whites and other soft botanical greens.

Pair with pale oak or crisp white for a fresh, quietly playful scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hermia Brook without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
