About this fabric

This Shibu colourway reads as a softened ocean blue rather than a strong saturated navy, giving the fabric a calm, airy depth. Fine vertical lines run continuously through the swatch, with small tonal changes that create a gently irregular woven effect. Light catches the pale threads between the darker blue-grey lines, adding definition without introducing a bold pattern. No performance features or further specification data were supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair M551 Ocean with chalky whites, pale stone and cool grey for a quietly coastal scheme, or use it against darker blue accents to bring out the depth in its vertical striations. Its restrained linear texture suits upholstered seating as well as clean, tailored curtains.

Use its cool blue-grey tone and fine vertical texture to bring quiet definition to seating, cushions or softly tailored window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
