Pimpernel Shamrock/Watermelon

Bedford Park Fabrics FabricMOF0198-03

Pimpernel Shamrock/Watermelon places warm watermelon-coral flowers over a fresh shamrock-green ground, with cream and olive foliage curling densely between the blooms. The close-set repeat gives the swatch a richly patterned, garden-like appearance.

About this fabric

This 230gsm fabric shows repeated coral and salmon flowers framed by pale cream leaves, small blue-green accents and darker curling stems on a clear shamrock-green background. Its 34.5cm vertical repeat and 46cm horizontal repeat create a regular medium-scale rhythm, while the dense foliage keeps the surface visually full. With a 140cm usable width and 36.2 threads per cm, it offers a practical mid-weight format for both upholstery and drapery. The warm flower colour stands out against the cooler green ground, giving this colourway a lively, fresh contrast rather than a muted or tonal effect.

How to use it

Use this colourway where the shamrock green can act as the room’s main natural tone, such as full curtains or a statement armchair, then echo the watermelon blooms in cushions or painted accents. Keep surrounding upholstery and walls relatively quiet so the cream foliage and coral flowers remain legible.

Use the fresh shamrock ground and coral blooms to bring lively colour to curtains, cushions or upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pimpernel Shamrock/Watermelon without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
