Seasons by May Saffron

Melsetter Wallpapers WallpaperMOW0091-01

Seasons by May Saffron brings a richly layered botanical scene to the wall, centred on paired long-tailed birds, pomegranates and curling foliage. Its warm saffron-ochre ground gives the detailed rust, cream, plum and olive motifs a softly antique depth.

About this wallpaper

The design is densely arranged and near-symmetrical, with birds facing inward beneath arching stems, while pomegranates and smaller flowers fill the surrounding ground. Against the muted saffron background, russet reds and plum purples read as warm, while cream leaves and pale birds provide clear highlights. This wallpaper has a 52 cm usable width and a standard length of 10.05 m, with a 45.7 cm vertical pattern repeat. The supplied specification gives it a weight of 188 gsm and a 0 cm horizontal repeat.

How to use it

Use this saffron colourway across a dining room, study or snug where its warm ochre depth can sit comfortably with dark timber, aged brass and russet or plum upholstery. Keep neighbouring furnishings relatively quiet so the birds and pomegranates remain the focus.

Use this warm saffron ground to bring depth to a traditional room, pairing it with aged wood, russet textiles and muted plum accents.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Seasons by May Saffron without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
