Acorn Ochre has a softly golden, muted ochre ground threaded with delicate cream foliage, branching stems and small stylised flowers. The closely woven surface gives the dense botanical pattern a quiet, tonal depth.

About this fabric

This Morris & Co. textile weighs 464 gsm and has a 143 cm usable width, giving it the substantial presence expected of an upholstery fabric. Its warm acorn-like ochre is softened by pale cream motifs rather than contrasted with a sharp white, so the overall effect remains mellow and earthy. The botanical design repeats over 67 cm vertically and 71.5 cm horizontally, with layered stems and leaves creating a richly filled surface. At 55 threads per cm, the weave presents a fine, closely packed texture that supports the detailed pattern.

How to use it

Use Acorn Ochre on a reading chair, sofa or footstool where its warm golden-beige tone can sit alongside walnut, natural oak, russet leather and other softly aged finishes. Its pale botanical tracery also works well as a lighter counterpoint to deeper brown or olive upholstery.

A substantial warm ochre botanical weave for upholstered seating and occasional furniture.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Acorn Ochre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
