About this fabric

This substantial Morris & Co. textile weighs 810 gsm, making it well suited to upholstery rather than lightweight window treatments. Its 137.5 cm usable width presents the closely packed bird-and-leaf design across the cloth, while the 46 cm vertical and 34.5 cm horizontal repeats establish a clearly considered rhythm. Fine foliage, small floral details and repeated pale birds create a richly patterned surface, with the brick terracotta ground lending the design warmth and depth. The stated construction of 59.6 threads per cm supports the swatch’s compact, detailed woven appearance.

How to use it

The warm brick tone works particularly well on a reading chair, sofa or padded headboard, where its pale sage motifs can be echoed with muted green, oatmeal and aged timber. Keep surrounding patterns quieter so the detailed bird-and-foliage weave remains the room’s focal texture.
