Acorn Mineral

Lethaby Weaves FabricMOF0121-02

Acorn Mineral has a cool, almost misted mineral-grey ground, covered with fine ivory botanical stems, leaves and small floral forms. The close tonal contrast gives the Morris & Co. design a softly etched appearance rather than a bold graphic statement.

About this fabric

This substantial woven fabric weighs 464gsm, making it well suited to upholstery where its dense handle can support a tailored, hard-working finish. The pale grey colour has a cool, lightly greened mineral cast, while the ivory motif remains understated against it. Its detailed botanical repeat measures 67cm vertically by 71.5cm horizontally, allowing the foliage to read as an immersive all-over pattern across a larger upholstered surface. Acorn Mineral is supplied at a usable width of 143cm, with a standard length of 25m and 55 threads per centimetre.

How to use it

Use Acorn Mineral on a statement armchair, headboard or traditional sofa where its cool mineral tone can soften deeper charcoal, chalk and weathered wood. Keep surrounding textures quiet to let the finely drawn foliage provide the room’s pattern and depth.

The pale mineral-grey ground and delicate ivory foliage bring a cool, quietly detailed finish to upholstered pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
