Marigold Brick/Manilla

Morris 160th Anniversary Wallpaper WallpaperMOW0030-02

Marigold Brick/Manilla pairs a muted brick-terracotta ground with finely drawn manilla flowers, seed heads and curling foliage. The close-set botanical composition has a warm, softly aged character rather than a bright modern contrast.

About this fabric

The printed design is built from large daisy-like blooms, smaller clustered flowers and long, sweeping leaves, all picked out in warm manilla against the brick ground. Its layered linework gives the colourway considerable visual depth, while the pale motifs keep the overall impression balanced and readable. This wallpaper has a 52cm useable width, a 26cm vertical pattern repeat and a standard length of 10.05m. At 192gsm, the specification gives the paper a defined, substantial presence on the wall.

How to use it

Use the brick-terracotta background to warm a dining room, snug or bedroom, pairing it with aged timber, painted joinery and upholstery in oatmeal, russet or soft olive. The manilla foliage also works as a gentle bridge to cream architectural details.

Use this warm brick-and-manilla floral to bring layered botanical detail and a softly historic feel to walls.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
