About this fabric

This substantial 695gsm weave is dominated by a burnt rust-red tone, with the softly weathered ground allowing the floral tracery to retain depth rather than appearing flat. Vertical bands contain curling leaves, paisley-like forms and varied flowers, including ochre rosettes, pale cream blooms and muted sage foliage. The pattern has a 73.5cm vertical repeat and 66.5cm horizontal repeat within a 132.5cm usable width, making the panel structure an important consideration when upholstering. With 227.3 threads per cm and a standard 25m length, its dense construction is well suited to upholstered furniture.

How to use it

Use this rust colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or tailored sofa where its warm red depth can anchor a room. Pick out the woven ochre and sage accents with plain cushions or trims rather than competing patterns.

Pair the warm rust ground with aged timber, ochre accents and muted sage greens.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
