About this fabric

This substantial 625gsm fabric is suited to upholstery, with a useable width of 141cm and a standard length of 25m. Repeating stems, curling leaves and stylised thistle heads form a dense botanical pattern, while the slate blue-grey and muted taupe tones keep the overall effect restrained rather than bright. The design repeats at 67.5cm vertically and 70.5cm horizontally, giving the pattern enough presence for larger upholstered forms. With 34.2 threads per centimetre, the closely woven surface has a visibly tactile, quietly robust character.

How to use it

Use this cool slate colourway on a traditional armchair, sofa or footstool where its taupe foliage can sit comfortably with aged timber, warm stone and brushed metal. It also suits a layered scheme of charcoal, mushroom and softened blue-grey textiles.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
