About this fabric

The Bayleaf colourway reads as a soft, muted green with a slightly cool, mineral cast rather than a bright or saturated leaf shade. Small interlocking zigzag forms run across the cloth, giving the surface a fine geometric rhythm while the woven yarns create subtle tonal variation. At 579gsm, this is a substantial fabric suited to upholstery, with 57.6 threads per cm lending the close texture visible in the swatch. The usable width is 142cm, with a 23.5cm vertical repeat and an 18cm horizontal repeat; the standard length is 25m.

How to use it

Use this gentle bayleaf green on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its quiet geometric texture can soften darker timber and contrast with warm ivory, clay or natural linen accents.

Use this softly muted green weave to bring quiet texture and an understated botanical feel to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lethaby Weave Bayleaf without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
