Alston Fabric

Alston Peacock is a cool, muted teal woven fabric with a tightly scaled crosshatch surface. Pale blue-grey and charcoal threads break up the colour, giving the swatch a softly weathered depth.

About this fabric

The surface is formed from numerous fine intersecting threads, creating a small, irregular grid rather than a printed motif. Its peacock teal tone sits between blue and green, while pale flecks and darker charcoal lines add a gently mottled finish as the light moves across the weave. The visible texture has the substance of a versatile mid-weight cloth, making it suitable for upholstery or drapery. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Alston Peacock to introduce a cool teal accent on a chair, sofa or ottoman, then repeat its blue-grey flecks in plain cushions or curtains. Its finely textured surface works particularly well where a solid colour needs more depth without a bold pattern.

Its cool peacock teal ground and fine crosshatch texture bring subtle depth to upholstery, cushions or softly tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
