Aru Clay

Elva Fabric

Aru Clay is a softly muted clay-beige textile with a gentle blush warmth visible across its even surface. Its understated woven texture gives the plain colour subtle depth rather than a completely flat finish.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a fine, lightly irregular weave formed by delicate intersecting threads, with no visible printed motif. Its pale clay tone sits between beige and dusty blush, reading warm and softly earthy rather than yellow or grey. Small variations in the weave catch the light across the surface, creating a quiet crosshatched effect. The restrained texture and mid-weight appearance make this colourway suitable for either upholstery or drapery.

How to use it

Pair Aru Clay with chalky whites, pale oak and warm stone for a calm, sun-washed room, or use it to temper deeper terracotta and brown accents. Its muted clay warmth is particularly effective when repeated across cushions, curtains or a softly upholstered chair.

Use this warm clay-beige weave to soften upholstery, curtains or layered neutral schemes without introducing a strong pattern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
