Chiya Indigo

Pluma Fabric

Chiya Indigo layers a deep, muted indigo ground with an intricate arrangement of pale botanical flowers, leaves and curling stems. The contrast gives the swatch a quietly dramatic, collected character.

About this fabric

Across the cool indigo background, cream and soft taupe outlines pick out large open blooms, smaller flowers, feathery leaves and fine curling tendrils. The pattern has a varied botanical scale, with prominent floral heads balanced by delicate sprigs and berry-like details. A lightly textured surface is visible in the close-up, softening the contrast between the dark ground and pale motifs. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Chiya Indigo where a room needs a cool, deep blue anchor: it would sit confidently on an upholstered chair or sofa, or bring pattern and depth to curtains. Pair it with chalky ivory, weathered wood and muted blue-grey accents to echo the pale flowers without competing with the design.

Use the deep indigo ground to anchor pale timber, warm neutrals and softly patterned furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
