Elai beige

Country Folk Fabricelai/fa1/sto

Elai Beige has a softly nostalgic look, with warm ochre flower heads and muted taupe stems scattered across a natural light ground. The hand-painted feel of the motif gives the design a relaxed country charm.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 140cm-wide fabric has the easy, breathable feel associated with mid-weight decorative textiles. The print combines sunflower-yellow petals with gently washed beige-brown leaves and fine trailing stems, all sitting on a pale, slightly creamy base. Its horizontal repeat of 17.5cm and vertical repeat of 22.79cm create a generous floral rhythm without feeling crowded. Dry clean only, with iron safe care, it is best kept away from bleach, fabric softener and tumble drying.

How to use it

Use Elai Beige for cushions, blind facings or relaxed curtains where the warm yellow florals can brighten a neutral scheme. It works especially well with oak, rattan and stone-toned upholstery.

Pair with natural woods and warm neutrals to let the soft ochre flowers glow.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Elai beige without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
