Firth orange
Ettrick Fabricfirth/fa1/rus
Firth Orange from the Ettrick collection shows a painterly floral motif scattered over a pale natural ground. The orange reads as a soft coral tone, lifted by sage green leaves and a gently textured cotton-linen weave.

About this fabric
Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still feeling balanced rather than heavy. The pale base lets the motif stand out clearly, with the flower heads in warm coral, saffron and blush tones against muted green stems and leaves. The visible slub and occasional flecking in the ground give the cloth a relaxed, slightly rustic character that suits the Ettrick design well. With a 23cm horizontal repeat and 31.5cm vertical repeat, the pattern keeps a steady rhythm across larger drops and cushions alike. It is dry clean only and iron safe.
How to use it
Use Firth Orange to add warmth to rooms with oak, limewash or chalky paint finishes, where the coral notes can glow without feeling too bright. It works especially well on relaxed curtains or a statement armchair cushion when paired with greens, neutrals and soft timber tones.
A warm, painterly orange on a natural slub ground, ideal for bringing easy colour to softer schemes.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
