Matchsticks Denim combines a cool, muted denim-blue ground with closely spaced ivory-white woven dashes. The horizontal marks form small, rhythmic matchstick groupings across the surface, giving the swatch a quietly graphic character.

About this fabric

This is a substantial 600 gsm woven fabric with a 143 cm usable width, and its dense surface gives the denim-blue colour a softly textured, grounded appearance. Short ivory-white lines and pinpoint accents are arranged in repeating horizontal clusters, creating a measured geometric pattern rather than a bold stripe. The design has an 18 cm vertical repeat and a 23 cm horizontal repeat, so the motif reads as an even all-over texture on upholstery. With 58 threads per cm, the closely woven face has enough visual depth for relaxed, contemporary seating and occasional furniture.

How to use it

Use this cool denim colourway on a tailored armchair, bench or sofa where its ivory detailing can lift darker timber, warm neutrals and chalky painted finishes. It also works well as a graphic accent against softer blue-grey or natural linen tones.

A substantial denim-blue woven with a crisp, rhythmic dash pattern for upholstered seating and occasional furniture.
